A day where some of our population celebrates the act of love. It’s also a day where majority of items that are normally inexpensive sky rocket in value. Tell me, how does the cost of a red rose change from $2 to $12?!? One day changes that. We do live in a capitalist country though.
If you eliminate take the concept of money, we can easily see that there’s a hidden beauty in dedicating a day to love. Obviously, like a rose, you’ll have love floating within the slight aroma of your home town’s air, but you’ll also have some heartbreak lingering like a sudden fart after a meal at chipotle.
Warning: a rose will symbolize a number of things in this blog.
Valentine’s Day, a day where people appreciate each other by bearing gifts and dedicating a unique sense of time, as if they were chemicals in an equation, creatively attempting to woo the other into a new concoction. If done correctly, sparks fly, as if the two chemicals were made to react with one another...
Aaaah. You would think it’s all buttery and sweet.
You also have the bitter, the scarred and the people who have chosen to close themselves up due to some previous heartbreak...and you can smell it from a distance.
Think about it. A rose resembles beauty, passion, desire, class, elegance, and last but not least...love. Don’t underestimate the beauty of the rose, however. That rose also has thorns that, if handled improperly, can leave scars for ages to come. BELIEVE IT!
Soooo, you can only imagine why there are some bitter peeps out there. They aren’t all bitter. Some are just so hurt that they close themselves off, even to those who make more than worthy attempts to love them. Sad story...
Take it from me, you can only love a person so much before they push you away with their complications. Love isn’t something that should be rushed either. Both entities need to be ready.
With that said, I leave everyone with two Playlists to rock out to.
One expresses the emotions felt when the Love Bug strikes, while the other just leaves you in your Feels during and after a heartbreak.
Enjoy. I’ll be listening to both; below are the links for both Apple Music and Spotify!
